Journal of Tropical Agricultural Innovation (JTAI) is committed to maintaining scientific integrity and publication quality. Therefore, all submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening before being sent for peer review.

1. Screening Process

  1. Every manuscript submitted to JTAI will be checked using internationally recognized plagiarism detection tools (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent systems).

  2. Manuscripts with a high similarity index will be further reviewed by the editor to determine if plagiarism has occurred.

2. Tolerance Standards

  • Similarity ≤ 20% is generally acceptable if sources are properly cited.

  • Similarity 21–30% will be carefully evaluated, and authors may be asked to revise citations or paraphrasing.

  • Similarity > 30% may result in rejection without peer review, unless a valid justification is provided.

3. Actions Against Violations

If plagiarism is detected:

  • Authors will receive an official warning and may be given the opportunity to revise the manuscript (for minor cases);

  • For serious plagiarism or repeated offenses, the manuscript will be permanently rejected, and the author may be barred from future submissions;

  • Serious violations may also be reported to the author’s institution if necessary.

4. Author Responsibilities

  • Authors are fully responsible for the originality of their work.

  • All quotations, paraphrased content, and third-party data must be properly cited.

  • Authors must ensure the manuscript has not been published elsewhere to avoid self-plagiarism.

Through this policy, JTAI emphasizes its commitment to academic honesty, scientific integrity, and trustworthy publication quality.
